Chapter 3

Sho left, but Ohno still had to face his parents, and how's he going to do that, without Sho?
He quickly dressed and headed out the bedroom. He scolded himself for falling asleep before even had a sensible conversation with Sho about the situation and tried to think of a solution. Now he had to explain to his parents about Sho’s disappearance and also find Sho to talk to him.
Oh Shit! Find Sho, how’s he going to find Sho? He didn’t even know where he lives or his phone number. Who would have thought there would be follow ups? Nino! Yes! Nino knew Sho. He would know where to find the guy. He quickly changed and put away the blanket and pillow on the sofa and headed out to find Sho, hoping he would be able to sneak out without running into his parents.
“Satoshi!” His father caught him as he walked right by the dinning room. “Where are you going? Where is Sho?”
No luck there. Ohno had no choice but stepped back into the dinning room. “Good morning Papa. Good morning Mama.”
“Aren't you going to eat breakfast? Is Sho still sleeping?” His mother looked around trying to see where Sho was.
“Sho – uh – yes, he went to the gym. He likes to do that in the morning. I'm going to meet him now.” He immediately knew that was a bad answer. But he didn't have time to think, he hurried went towards the door before his parents could answer more questions. But he's still not fast enough.
“Come home for lunch, both of you. I'm making your favorite seafood sukiyaki. Don't be late.” Ohno's mother shouted out to him before he could close the door behind him. He had no choice but to agree, “OK, Mama.”
Gosh, I've got to find Sho and bring him back somehow. What a mess!
He immediately called Nino on the phone when he got into his car.
“Ohno-kun? How did the dinner go?” Nino asked anxiously. He's curious on how the plan had played out.
“Nino, I'll tell you later. Tell me where I can find Sho.”
“Sho? Why do you still need to find him?” Nino was puzzled.
“I'll explain everything later, but I need to find him now. Please tell me where he lives, or his phone number.” Ohno was getting impatient.
“He's not at home now. He told me yesterday that he needs to go to the school administration office at ten o'clock this morning. He's probably still there.”
“Thank you.” Ohno hung up the phone before Nino could say another word. He started his car and went straight to campus.
When he entered the administration office, he saw Sho right away. The younger man was standing in front of the counter talking to an administrator. Ohno took a seat right behind close by and planned to wait for the conversation to finish before approaching the guy. But he couldn't help overhearing what they were talking about.
“Please, can I pay in monthly installments? I really can't pay the whole semester's fee all at once.” Sho was pleading to the administrator. Even monthly installments were hard on him, but single payment would be impossible.
“I'm sorry, but we don't have the option of a monthly payment plan. Every student has to pay the full semester fee in a single payment.” The administrator then looked through the records in the computer. “You have scholarship, right? So you should not have to worry about the payments.”
“Well, not anymore.” Sho let out a big sigh and sadness arouse in him. “So there's no other payment options?”
“I'm afraid not. You have to pay next semester's fee by tomorrow. If not, you won't be able to register for class.” Those were the final words from the administrator and she gave Sho a sympathetic look.
“Thank you.” Sho slowly walked away from the counter, looked totally defeated.
Ohno approached the younger man, but Sho was in his own thinking that he didn't realize Ohno's presence until he was standing right next to him.
“Ohno-san!” Sho finally looked up and was surprised to see the older man.
“We need to talk, now.” Ohno grabbed Sho's hand and lead him out to the parking lot. He stopped right in front of his sports car.
“What's there to talk about? I already told you I was leaving this morning. If you want the suit back, I can bring it back to you, but it won't be dry-cleaned.” Sho said bluntly. “And you still owe me 50,000 yen.”
“I'll pay you the 50,000 yen, and I don't want the suit back. But I do want you to go back home with me.” Ohno said, in a half commanding tone, which irritates Sho.
“That's not part of our agreement. I've already done more than I bargained for. I am not obligated to do anything for you anymore, let alone going home with you.” Sho was upset from the conversation with the administrator already, the bossiness of Ohno certainly didn't sit well with his current sentiment.
“I know, but my parents – they are expecting you to go back home with me, and be living there. The whole thing would fall apart if you just disappear.” Ohno was getting more anxious. He needed to find a way to prolong their agreement.
“That's not my problem. Either you tell them the truth or find someone else to be your lover.” Sho said that intentionally, knowing that neither of them would work for Ohno.
“You've got to be kidding.” Ohno was annoyed by Sho's attitude, but he knew he couldn't upset Sho too much. His parents seemed to like Sho and he's depending on the younger man to help him with his problem, and the conversation he overheard gave him an idea. “Look, I think we can help each other out here.”
“I don't need your help.” Sho's resentment made him rejected anything the rich young man had to offer before even knowing what it was. He started to walk away when Ohno stood in front of him to block his way.
“Hear me out first. What I'm proposing will benefit both of us.” Ohno explained.
Sho had no interest in hearing what Ohno had to say, so he took a step aside hoping to get passed the rich man. But Ohno kept blocking his way whichever way he went.
“Listen, I'll make you a deal. You come home with me and continue to act as my lover until my parents leave. I will pay your tuition for next semester.” Ohno elaborated his proposal.
Sho was stunned and looked at Ohno with wide opened eyes. His first instinct was to reject the offer. He did not need any pity from the rich man. But he desperately needed to find ways to pay his tuition. He didn't want to have to drop out, in his last year before graduation. All his hard work will be wasted, his dream will be gone. The offer was very tempting. He might have to swallow his pride just this once.
“What if they leave next week, or even tomorrow? I have no money to pay you back.” Sho hated that he’s even considering it.
“You won’t need to pay be back no matter when they leave. And if they stay longer than the semester, gosh, I hope not, then our deal will extend through the next semester. I will pay for your tuition as well.” Ohno sensed hope that Sho is agreeing to the deal.
“Come on, it’s a win win for us both. What’s there to think about?” Ohno pushed a little harder.
Seeing that Sho was still struggling to make a decision, Ohno turned around and headed back inside the building. “Wait for me.”
After several minutes, Ohno came out and put a piece of paper in Sho’s hand. Sho looked at it and…it’s the receipt of his tuition payment!
“You – ” Sho looked at Ohno in disbelief. “I haven’t – ”
“Too late. Either you come home with me now or pay me back.” Ohno said mischievously, knowing Sho had no choice but to go with him now.
Sho still didn’t feel good about this and couldn’t help feeling that he’s selling himself in some way, but yet he’s relieved somewhat. At least his immediate problem was solved. He just had to deal with Ohno and his family one day at a time. Besides, the warm feeling of the hug from Ohno’s mother did give him a strong incentive. He’d love to feel that again.
“Let’s go home. Mama is making lunch for us.”
Sho paused for a moment upon hearing this simple statement, which probably didn’t mean anything to Ohno. But having a mother making lunch for him and waiting for him at home is something that he thought he would never experience again. For a moment he actually thought that the deal with Ohno might not be such a bad thing after all.

new update! nice timing to be online~ *hugs*

Haha, Ohno is so calculative here, I guess it's needed since he's so desperate about getting his parents to believe his made-up story.

Maybe subconsciously he still wanted to be close with this guy who seemed to have no interest in him. Either that he likes the challenge, or maybe he thought Sho would be easy to shrug off, once the whole deal is over. Still, I wanted Sho to kick Ohno's spoilt-rich butt. Ohno seriously needed to learn how to respect and cherish the people around him. I guess I hoped Sho would become more carefree too, seemed like he's quite a stoic person.

Just like what's been commented so far, Ohno's mom is such a sweetie~ It's so funny that right now, she's the main bait for Sho to agree on the deal.

Can't wait to see how this progresses on.

Ohno was such a spoiled brat and a little bit sneaky too.

Ohno's mom was such a sweet wonderful lady. I hope she could love sho like her own son XD

sho should somehow teach ohno on how to be grateful for the things that he had and not taking it for granted.
