How I Spent My Dinner Break (Sho POV)
It's been two days since 3D Kaibutsu-kun was released in cinemas. I heard it was no.1 in box office this past weekend and there have been long lines waiting to buy tickets or goods, which made me very happy, happy for Satoshi.
Other than our usual variety shows shootings, I hardly see Satoshi lately, even though we are living under the same roof. Our work schedules are so full and tight that we rarely spend much time at our apartment anymore, let alone being there together. To the contrary of what Satoshi believes, I do dream about him, as recent as a couple of days ago as a matter of fact. Sadly, we couldn't even see each other on his birthday. I could only send him a text message with a brief phone conversation afterward to give him birthday greetings and congratulations on his movie release.
Everybody on the Nazodi's filming crew is talking about 3D Kaibutsu-kun. We didn't have filming yesterday, and many had already gone to see the movie, some even brought the whole family. I wanted to go so much, to see the piece that Satoshi had worked so hard for. Unfortunately I had Best Artist rehearsal yesterday and couldn't get away.
Today is just like any Mondays for the past three months. Nazodi filming till early afternoon and then News Zero after. My manager is picking me up at 6:30am. Satoshi is still asleep when I left our apartment. His promotions finally start to slow down a bit now that the movie is released. After a week of non-stop events and early morning programs, he must be exhausted. I didn't dare to wake him up, so I just laid a kiss on his cheek and left home.
During the ride to Fuji TV, I looked at my upcoming schedules for the next two weeks. They are all jam packed. I won't have any free time at all with drama, Best Artist and News Zero among everything else. Kouhaku is also around the corner, not to mention all the specials for new year. When will I have time to see Satoshi's movie? Other members have  already set the time to go together since Matsujun does not have butai performances for the next three days. How can I be the last one in Arashi to show my support? Not that Satoshi would blame me or anything, it’s just me wanting to cheer for him as early as I can.
When work starts, I pretty much put this thought aside. It won't help thinking about it when I'm tied up with work anyway. But I am determined to figure something out.
After our usual 4:00pm meeting for News Zero, I was looking over the scripts for tonight when a staff came by my desk and told me that the 8:00pm meeting has been canceled. I continued to read the scripts when suddenly something clicks –
I quickly finish reading the scripts and let my manager knows that I need to go somewhere.
“Are you sure, Sho-kun? There must be lots of people there. It may not be safe.” He is skeptical when I told him where I wanted to go and I don't blame him. I actually didn't give it a lot of thoughts myself, but I only know that if I miss this opportunity, I may not find another one for weeks.
I change out of the suits into my own casual clothes, put on baseball cap and a mask, trying to disguise myself as much as I can. Then I jump onto the van and ask my manager to drive me to the nearest cinema that's showing 3D Kaibutsu-kun. Looking at my watch, I can still make the 7:00pm show and make it back on time for our final News Zero rehearsal at 10:00pm.
When we're approaching the cinema, I am already seeing long lines near the entrance. Gosh, can I even get a ticket at this late in time? I am discouraged already.
“You wait here Sho-kun. I'm going to see if I can get the ticket for you.” My manager got out of the van after we, luckily, find a parking spot across from the cinema. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my luck can continue.
Twenty minutes have passed, it's only ten minutes before show time and he's still not back. Just as I'm starting to think may be my usual failing luck is following me again, he came back with a ticket in his hand.
“Go now Sho-kun. The show is starting, just be careful and don't make me regret going along with your crazy idea.”
“Thank you so much. I owe you one.”
I jump out of the van and rushed into the cinema. I keep my cap low and with the mask, hopefully no one will recognize me. I feel relieved once I get to my seat. The cinema is pretty much full, with audiences from old to young. Kaibutsu-kun really is popular.
The show finally starts. I am so excited, and so are all the audiences in the cinema. We cheer, clap, yell and clench fists when our prince is fighting monsters. I feel like a kid adoring my hero again (laugh). Satoshi is totally into the character of Kaibutsu-kun. His cuteness, his laughs, his anger, his fighting with monsters. You can never imagine that a quiet guy on camera like him can play such an active, short-tempered adventurous heroic kid so well. I can see another talent in him. I am so proud of him.
I saw the scenes that were shot in India. I remembered Satoshi telling me how excited he was to ride on huge elephants. He even sent me pictures he took while riding. And I'm still amazed when Kaibutsu-kun extended his arms and legs. I teased Satoshi a lot when I asked him to get something on high shelves for me at home.
The movie ends with great cheers and enjoyments by everyone. Every audience loved it, including me. I'm so happy I came. Now I feel I share a part of Satoshi's hard work.
On my way out of the cinema, I saw a lifesize standup figure of Kaibutsu-kun at the cinema lobby. I couldn't help walk up besides it and look at it closely. Kaibutsu-kun, no, Satoshi is so adorable. I look around and make sure that nobody is looking at me. Then I take off my mask and use my phone to take a picture of me and Kaibutsu-kun. I quickly put my mask back on and ran for the van, not even paying attention if anyone sees me. I make it back to NTV in time for my rehearsal, but leaving no time to eat. Some curry from The Curry Kingdom would be nice, I chuckled on that thought.
During the ride back, I sent the picture I took to Satoshi, with the message “Guess who I spent my dinner break with tonight?”

so cute.
love how you have Sho's persistence in supporting Ohno, despite not being with him all the time.
how he over-thinks it only to succeed in his own way of encouraging Ohno :D
thanks for sharing <3

What he wouldn't do to show his support... xD

and the last part... i wonder what Ohno wd send back as reply? <3

Thanks love, for thinking up such loveliness to commemorate the special day *hugs*

OMG, I love yama fluff and sweetness
You even mentioned about ohno appearing in sho's dream too, after ohno confession in PON
Sho was making so much effort just to watch kai-kun, thankfully he got to watch it in the end, and even cheering with the children.
He even took a picture with kai-kun just to show it to ohno.
Thank you for such a sweet fic ♡ ♥

Oh, Wifey Sho...
U're so sweet to give hubby a kiss while he's aslp!! *hugs*
SoOoOOOOooooo CUTIE PIE!!! *screams*

Ok. Enuff of my craziness. Ahem.
Poor Hubby & Wifey does not have time to enjoy "二人世界"
But well, Wifey can still have her fair share of Hubby "on screen" though. Very Very sweet of the wifey to want to support hubby as far as she could, as best as he can. *thumbs up*

Like the tone of this fic. *hugs* I want more!!! *giggles*
Yama's sweetness is ADDICTIVE & nvr enuff. :P

Kyaaaa! What a sweet, adorable guy Sho-chan is! Finding the time to show his support for his lover! Even taking that picture with the Kaibutsu-kun stand-up--which I am now dying to see for myself, lol!

Thanks for this lovely yama fix! ~<3
